Absolutely abysmal quality of service and completely overpriced. They charge an arm and a leg for basic internet this day in age. Fiber is becoming pretty widely available everywhere except Arizona and Cox knows it. Google Fiber is an unlimited speed of 1Gb Download AND upload with no cap on usage for only 70$ a month. Meanwhile, Cox is 100$ just for 1Gb download and a measly 35Mbit upload. Oh, you want to download more than a couple of movies? Thats another 75$ a month for unlimited data. Wow, thanks Cox! What a great deal! On top of that, they are easily the most unreliable internet provider I have had (between four so small sample). They often had outages of a day or more and I work from home meaning I just couldn't get paid for those days, amazing! They never warn you, they never credit your bill and they don't tell their phone reps anything so they always just give you a guessing answer and can't even tell you if maintenance or service is happening. And even if it is, sorry! Your problem not ours! Even though Cox is the service provider, they sure make their problems, your problems. One time they blamed an outage on the wiring in my home, turns out it was just them doing maintenance on the street 30 feet from my home, HA!! Even when I was using their equipment, they'd still claim it was my fault and had the audacity to also charge me 15$ a month for their equipment. Any chance they can get to nickel and dime you, they will. I have since switched to Verizon and it is wonderful but I really miss 1GB download speeds. Oh well, I will suffer through until a provider that doesn't scam me comes along.

Been a loyal patron of CoxCommunications for over 40 years now! Love the service but pricing is too high and there should be some discounted prices for longtime customers! That’s how a well known company/corporation such as Cox should have in their mission statement and policies in order to satisfy its customers and keep them as patrons as long as they can cause there are many other competitors that we, customers, can opt for! So in other words, Cox communications, show some love and appreciation for your loyal customers by lowering special prices and discounts to us! With the high costs of living expenses on today’s economy, we surely and truly can be assisted financially by your company’s generosity and thoughtfulness of appreciation! You want to keep us as loyal patrons to your company? This is how you would do it Cox? Help us out!

It is not dependable Speed is ridiculously low. 15.2 download and 9.6 upload. I am hoping another provider will be available soon.

I stopped using cox about ten years ago because they don’t collect payments on their end that are made on time in my end until they can start racking on fees. Since using them again the last 4 months they have reamed me for double what I signed for. They are sneaky, rude and not for their customers. They unethical money grabbers.

The most incompetent isp I have ever had the displeasure of using. It has taken them over a week to place my modem with a new one, which hasn't even fixed the issue of not having internet. Their customer service is non-existent, they will lie to you to not send a technician out. Use an actual internet service provider such as ATT or Comcast.

I've been paying for 1GB for several years now. I've used their app for speed tests. I get 50 to 200 depending on the day and or time of day. Their excuse is the amount of devices using the system (1 computer, two phones and a couple tablets we hardly use.) When it was down 50 or less for quite a while, I went to the store and they set me up with new router. It helped for a little bit but I've never seen speeds above 210. I think they should charge for what you actually get and/or use. The charge for a GB sucks when you're receiving 75 to 80 percent less then you're paying for. That never seems to bother them.
